The Rebirth of Skin
Tausín by Praxis
A cream that blends botanical wisdom with dermatological science to restore the skin’s natural balance
There are moments when the skin speaks. It speaks through persistent redness, through uncomfortable tightness, through that fine flaking that betrays the fragility of the skin barrier. And then a question arises—one that every woman and every man attentive to their face has asked at least once: what does my skin need to recover?
The answer, in the case of Tausín by Praxis, comes in the form of a cream. But this is no ordinary formula. It is the result of decades of research in dermocosmetics— a precise balance between what nature offers and what science can enhance. An invitation to understand that sensitive skin is not a destiny, but a condition that can be accompanied, soothed, and ultimately regenerated.
01. Composition: The Garden of Regeneration
What truly sets Tausín apart is its botanical complex. Nine medicinal plant extracts, chosen not by chance, but for their scientific backing in tissue repair and inflammation modulation. To these are added grape seed oil, rich in essential fatty acids and proanthocyanidins, and vitamin E, the quintessential liposoluble antioxidant that protects cell membranes from oxidative stress.
The result is a texture that melts into the skin, leaving behind none of the greasy sensation that so many regenerating creams carry as a burden. It simply absorbs. And the skin, upon contact, seems to remember what it feels like to be relieved.
The botanical protagonists
Clinical studies have shown that the combination of Calendula and Echinacea accelerates the closure of surgical wounds in animal models, with results significantly superior to control groups. Witch Hazel, meanwhile, has demonstrated efficacy comparable to non-steroidal anti-inflammatories in treating atopic dermatitis, while St. John’s Wort inhibits COX-1 and 5-lipoxygenase pathways, two key mediators of the cutaneous inflammatory process.
02. Indications: When the Skin Calls for Help
Tausín is not a cream for indiscriminate use. It is a response to specific situations in which the skin has lost its self-regulating ability. It is especially indicated for:
✦ Where its efficacy shines
- Post-aesthetic treatments — after chemical peels, laser, mesotherapy, microneedling, or dermabrasion.
- Sensitive and reactive skin — atopic dermatitis, tendency toward redness and flaking.
- External aggressors — intense sun exposure, wind, cold, sudden temperature changes.
- Chronic conditions — rosacea, couperosis, acne.
- Daily care — dry, dehydrated, or shaving-irritated skin.
Its formulation has been designed to not interfere with the skin barrier, but rather to restore it. When applied, the skin experiences immediate relief: itching subsides, redness fades, and flaking begins to subside. This is not a cosmetic cover-up. It is a repair that happens from within the epidermal layers.
03. How to Use: A Ritual of Care
Simplicity is part of its effectiveness. No complex steps or combinations with other products are needed. Tausín is applied several times a day to clean, dry skin, with a gentle circular massage until fully absorbed. It is especially recommended to keep the product cool— between 5 and 7 °C—to enhance its calming effect, particularly after aesthetic procedures.
An important caution: it should not be mixed with other cosmetics. Its formula is complete and self-sufficient. Mixing it with other products could alter its balance and reduce its efficacy.
04. Science and Evidence: What Studies Confirm
Far from empty marketing, Tausín is built on a solid research foundation. Each of its ingredients has been the subject of studies that endorse their usefulness in dermatology. Let’s look at some of the most relevant findings:
Grape seed oil: a controlled clinical study (Shawahna, 2022) demonstrated that a nanoemulgel with this ingredient significantly reduced melanin, erythema, and sebum production in the skin, while increasing hydration and elasticity (p < 0.05). Its high linoleic acid content makes it an ally in restoring the lipid barrier.
Witch Hazel and St. John’s Wort: doctoral research (Villar del Frezno, UCM) has confirmed their ability to inhibit 5-lipoxygenase and protect fibroblasts from oxidative damage, with results comparable to reference drugs in the treatment of UV-induced erythema.
Calendula-Echinacea combination (Calendit-E): in an animal model study (Keshavarze et al., 2024), this combination achieved complete wound healing by day 21, with statistically superior results to the control group (p < 0.05).
Vitamin E: multiple studies have confirmed its role as a liposoluble antioxidant that reduces lipid peroxidation and protects cell membranes. In topical formulations, it improves stratum corneum hydration and reduces transepidermal water loss.
05. Dermatological Strategy: How It Works on the Skin
Tausín is not a cream that “covers up” the problem. It acts on four complementary fronts that address sensitive skin from all angles:
1. Barrier reinforcement. Grape seed oil and the emollient base create a protective film that reduces water loss and shields the skin from external aggressors.
2. Inflammation modulation. Witch Hazel, St. John’s Wort, Chamomile, and Calendula extracts work by inhibiting COX-1, 5-lipoxygenase, and other inflammatory cascades, reducing redness and edema.
3. Antioxidant protection. Vitamin E and grape polyphenols neutralize free radicals, preventing cellular damage and photoaging.
4. Regenerative stimulus. St. John’s Wort and Calendula promote fibroblast proliferation and keratinocyte differentiation, accelerating epidermal renewal and collagen synthesis.

Tausín by Praxis does not promise miracles. It promises what science can deliver:
to calm, to repair, and to restore the skin’s confidence in its own capacity for renewal.
